COLOMBO, Sri Lanka (CMC) — Rain had the final say in the one-day series between Sri Lanka A and West Indies A, washing out the third and final game at the Sinhalese Sports Club without a ball bowled here yesterday.
Adverse weather plagued the entire series, curtailing Windies A’s run chase in the first game in Dambulla and sending them to a six-run defeat under the Duckworth/Lewis method.
In Monday’s second game, rain reduced the contest to 38 overs per side before ending Sri Lanka’s reply to the visitors’ 193, after only 13 deliveries.
West Indies A conceded the series 1-0.
