KINGSTON, JAMAICA – The West Indies Players’ Association (WIPA) congratulates the West Indies Men’s Test team on a their commendable 1-0 series victory over Sri Lanka.
West Indies defeated Sri Lanka by an innings and 217 runs in the first Test, on the back of a double century (233) from Amir Jangoo and a record 6th-wicket partnership (401) between Jangoo and captain Roston Chase (194). Subsequently, West Indies brought the second Test to a draw, with Justin Greaves scoring 180 in West Indies’ first innings, partnering with Shai Hope (112) for 242 runs.
