WIPA Congratulates Guyana Amazon Warriors and Antigua and Barbuda Falcons on 2026 Women’s Caribbean Premiere League and Caribbean Premiere League Titles

KINGSTON, JAMAICA – The West Indies Players’ Association (WIPA) congratulates the Guyana Amazon Warriors on winning the 2026 Women’s Caribbean Premiere League (WCPL) title, and the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons on winning the 2026 Caribbean Premiere League (CPL) title.

The Guyana Amazon Warriors took the crown on September 17, 2026, successfully chasing 146 to defeat the Trinbago Knight Riders who opted to bat first. The Warriors won by two (2) wickets when Chedean Nation, in her first game of the tournament, batting at eight, smashed four sixes for 39* to come from behind and secure Guyana’s first ever claim of the ultimate prize.

In the Caribbean Premiere League, the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons comfortably defeated the Jamaica Kingsmen to claim their first ever CPL title on September 20, 2026. The Falcons won by eight (8) wickets with 20 balls remaining, having decided to bowl first. In the chase, Amir Jangoo played well for an unbeaten half-century which led the Falcons to victory.
