WIPA Expresses Condolences at Passing of Raphick Jumadeen

KINGSTON, JAMAICA – The West Indies Players’ Association (WIPA) expresses condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of former Trinidad and Tobago and West Indies cricketer Raphick Jumadeen.

Raphick Rasif Jumadeen, a left-arm spinner, played for Trinidad and Tobago between 1967 and 1981, and for the West Indies between 1972 and 1979. He was later a selector for the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board (TTCB), and the then West Indies Cricket Board (WICB), now Cricket West Indies (CWI). Jumadeen passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at the age of 75.

WIPA President and CEO, Wavell Hinds, said, “Condolences to Mr. Jumadeen’s family, friends, colleagues and the cricket fraternity. We wish them strength and peace at this time. May his soul rest in peace.”
