March 21, 2024

Jamaica remained unbeaten after two rounds of the T20 Blaze tournament, defeating Guyana by 5 wickets in their second match.

Batting first, Guyana were limited to 107/7 from their 20 overs, thanks to very economical bowling from the Jamaicans. Jamaica’s captain Stafanie Taylor picked up 2/12 and Chinelle Henry 2/22.

Barbados rebounded from their shocking first round defeat to the Leeward Islands, with a 19-run win over the Windward Islands. The Windwards batters were held back by disciplined bowling from Barbados. Erin Deane 2/12 and Aaliyah Alleyne 2/17 were the pick of the Barbadian bowling. While Windwards captain Afy Fletcher held her never for 28 off 32, she ran out of partners in her team’s chase.
