Here are three things you should know for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup:

1) WHERE TO WATCH: The 16 broadcast partners confirmed for the event include ESPN (Caribbean), Willow TV (USA and Canada), Star Sports (India and the rest of the Indian Sub-continent including Sri Lanka), Fox Sports (Australia), Channel 9 (Australia) Sky Sports (United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland), SuperSport (South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa), Etisalat Criclife (United Arab Emirates), Sky TV (New Zealand), PTV (Pakistan), Gazi TV (Bangladesh), Radio Television Afghanistan (Afghanistan), Fox Networks Group (South East Asia), Digicel (Pacific Islands), Yupp TV (MENA, Continental Europe and Central Asia), Star Cricket (Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong).

2) WE’VE BEEN HERE BEFORE: West Indies have a really good track record in the tournament since it started back in 2009 in England. We all remember the euphoria when we beat Australia in India in 2016 to win the title for the first time. We have reached the semi-finals quite a few times – in 2010 (in West Indies), 2012 (in Sri Lanka), 2014 (in Bangladesh) and 2018 (when we hosted at home again). So let’s cheer on our team to the semis again… and beyond.

3) WI GET TO HERE THE IAN’S VOICE: We know Ian Bishop is among the best analysts of the game. He has a few words before the matches get started.

“I look forward to seeing how the 2020 edition drives the women’s game forward and into a new dimension. Most of all, I think we are all intrigued to find out which team will prevail and be crowned the champions of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020”,

-the former West Indies fast bowling great said. Set your alarm and plan your morning as we get ready for the BIG occasion.

First match starts on Saturday at 3 am Eastern Caribbean Time/2am Jamaica Time.

WIPA has definitely made a tremendous impact when it comes to women’s cricket, they have made us more visible in the cricketing circles and I must applaud them for putting us on the map where West Indies cricket is concerned.

My take on women’s cricket is that it has grown, but it can grow a bit more once we continue to support it.
