Pride blow away Hurricanes

Barbados Pride defeated Leeward Islands Hurricanes by an innings and 190 runs on the third day of their fifth round match in the WICB Professional Cricket League at the Kensington Oval, yesterday.

Barbados limited the Leewards to 136 in reply to their 406 for six declared with Carlos Brathwaite and Jomel Warrican taking four wickets each.

They were even more destructive in the second innings as Barbados huddled out the Leewards for 80 on the efforts of Warrican (3/17) and Miguel Cummins (3-24).

BARBADOS 406 for six declared (Shane Dowrich 131 not out, Kraigg Brathwaite 72, Carlos Brathwaite 60, Ashley Nurse 34 not out, Roston Chase 30; Orlando Peters 2-67)

LEEWARDS 136 (Jahmar Hamilton 66; Carlos Brathwaite 4-18, Jomel Warrican 4-33, Tino Best 2-35) and 80 (Hayden Walsh 17 not out; Jomel Warrican 3-17, Miguel Cummins 3-24, Tino Best 2-12)
