Hurricane Irma is now, according to the NOAA National Hurricane Centre, the strongest Hurricane ever recorded in the Atlantic basin. It was declared by the NHC as a potentially catastrophic Category 5 Hurricane (Bulletin 26A from the NHC).
At this time, we encourage all to make the necessary precautions for your safety during this disaster. Contact your local Disaster Management and Emergency offices for further information on how to prepare and the location of the nearest hurricane shelter should you need it.
