WIPA Mourns the Passing of Prince Bartholomew

KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Executive and members of the West Indies Players’ Association (WIPA) wishes to extend their deepest condolences to the family and friends of Prince Bartholomew.

 

A former captain of Trinidad and Tobago, Mr Bartholomew played 57 first class matches spanning a period of 11 years; he finished with an average of 23.85 with a high score of 95 not out. He also successfully captured two 5-wicket halls during that time.

 

In his last meeting with WIPA, Mr Bartholomew was optimistic, light-hearted and joked with those present.

 

On learning of Mr Bartholomew’s passing WIPA’s President and CEO, Wavell Hinds said, “our thoughts and prayers at this time are with his family, friends and the entire cricket community of Trinidad & Tobago and the West Indies.”
