KINGSTON, Jamaica – The West Indies Players’ Association (WIPA) congratulates the West Indies on a historic Test Series victory versus England.
WIPA, with great admiration, applauds the tenacity and perseverance displayed by the squad throughout the three-match Apex Test series. This accomplishment has provided West Indies supporters and well-wishers globally with great elation and is deserving of all acclamations. Congratulations to the entire squad, team management and support staff on a job well done, and we wish all the best in future endeavours.

West Indies won the third and final Apex Test Match by 10 wickets on the fourth day of play at the Grenada National Stadium. As a result of the first two matches ending in draws, this win secured a 1-0 Test Series win for the Regional Side. The West Indies are now the first holders of the newly-minted Richards-Botham trophy.
