Solozano, Cariah in T&T squad to face Guyana

Left-handed opening batsman Jeremy Solozano and Yannic Cariah have been included in the 13-man T&T team to face Guyana in round four of the West Indies Cricket Board Four-day Professional Cricket League, which bowls off on Friday at the Queen’s Park Oval, Port-of-Spain.

Solozano, a contracted T&T player, was not part of the squad for the first three rounds of matches.

Cariah, who has shown some form in the tournament thus far, missed the last match against Jamaica because of a toe injury. Cariah and Solozano will bring some batting strength to the team, which has struggled to put runs on the board.

Guyana, despite losing to Barbados in the last round, lie at the top of the standings. T&T is fourth ahead of the Leeward Islands and Windward Islands.

T&T Squad

Rayad Emrit (captain), Jason Mohammed (vice-captain), Evin Lewis, Lendl Simmons, Yannick Ottley, Nicholas Pooran, Imran Khan, Steven Katwaroo, Akeal Hosein, Marlon Richards, Daniel St Clair, Jeremy Solozano, Yannic Cariah
