PowerGen, Central Sports in T20 semis

PowerGen cricket club will face Central Sports in the semifinals of the TTCB T20 cricket series on Thursday at the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba at 7 pm.

At 2pm, Merryboys will face Clarke Road in the other semis, also at the same venue. West Indies batsman Andre Fletcher slammed 82 to spur PowerGen to 167/6 of their 20 overs against Victoria. The Grenadian faced just 55 balls and struck four fours and four sixes. Also among the runs for PowerGen was another West Indian in the form of Jason Mohammed who got 27. Victoria in reply was restricted to 98 for eight in their 20 overs with Mark Deyal taking 2/23.

Earlier, it was Red Force all rounder Yannick Ottley who turned in a fine performance to lead Clarke Road United to a 30-run win over Orangefield. Firstly he top scored with 32 and together with Red Force captain Kyle Hope, took Clarke Road to 122/6 of their 20 overs. In response, Orangefield made 92 all out with S Warood getting 32. Ottley bowling his left arm orthodox spin took 4/18 to ensure the win.
