KINGSTON, JAMAICA – The West Indies Players’ Association (WIPA) expresses condolences to the
family, friends and colleagues of former West Indies player Irvine Shillingford.
Irvine Theodore Shillingford, born April 1944 in Dominica, played for the Windward Islands,
Combined Islands and the West Indies.
WIPA President and CEO, Wavell Hinds expressed, “Mr Shillingford contributed tremendously to
the development of cricket in Dominica, the Windward Islands and the West Indies. My
condolences to his family, friends and colleagues, may his soul rest in peace.”
Shillingford was 78 years old.
