GROS ISLET, St Lucia (CMC): Jamaica Scorpions, replying to Windward Islands Volcanoes’ 226 for nine declared, were 33 without loss in their first innings at the close on the opening day of the day/night seventh round match in the Regional Four-Day Championship at Warner Park yesterday.

Scores: VOLCANOES 226 for nine decl. (Devon Smith 107 not out, Kirk Edwards 57; Christopher Lamont 4-52, John Campbell 2-35).

AT GEORGETOWN NATIONAL STADIUM: Guyana Jaguars, choosing to bat first against Leeward Islands Hurricanes, were 276 for eight in their first innings at the close on the opening day of their day/night seventh round match.
